The Scribble Maps Situation ticker with RTX Corporation open, marked as a likely tailwind, listing the incidents that may affect it, above a world map of incidents and the Situation panel marked Delayed 36 hours.

What happened after our feed flagged it

Three real incidents from our feed this week, and what the linked names did over the next 36 hours. That is how long free preview users wait to see the same incident.

Detected Oct 7, 14:50 UTC, during US trading hours

Ukraine hits Crimea's largest oil terminal

Ukraine struck the oil terminal in Feodosiya and set off a large fire. The feed linked the incident to refiners and oil majors, marked as a mixed effect because supply shocks can help some names and hurt others.

TickerWhen flagged36 hours laterChange
MPCMixed effect $440.57 $463.38 +5.2%
BPMixed effect $44.67 $46.37 +3.8%
PSXMixed effect $271.41 $281.53 +3.7%
SHELMixed effect $96.72 $100.19 +3.6%
SPYS&P 500 benchmark $774.75 $773.89 -0.1%

Refiners led. Marathon Petroleum rose 5.2% while the energy sector (XLE) rose 3.2% and the S&P 500 was flat.

The Scribble Maps incident card for Russian missile attack kills 19 in Ukraine, rated critical and reported by 20 outlets, listing GD, LMT, NOC, RHM, and RTX as likely tailwinds.

Detected Oct 7, 04:28 UTC, 9 hours before the US open

And one that went the other way: missile attack on Kyiv

Twenty outlets reported a Russian missile attack that killed 19 people across Ukraine. The feed tagged defense names as likely tailwinds. The market did not agree that day.

TickerWhen flagged36 hours laterChange
LMTLikely tailwind $509.58 $502.22 -1.4%
NOCLikely tailwind $484.58 $477.77 -1.4%
GDLikely tailwind $330.24 $326.12 -1.2%
SPYS&P 500 benchmark $775.77 $775.44 0.0%

The tagged defense names fell more than 1%. A tag tells you what may be affected, not what will happen. You still make the call.

Prices are the first trade after the incident was detected and the last trade 36 hours later, from public market data. The S&P 500 row uses SPY over the same window. These are selected examples from October 7 and 8, 2026, not a track record. Other events also move these stocks, and tagged names do not always move the way the tag suggests. Why traders use it

News from where it happens

We read 19,000+ public news sources, including local outlets in the city where an event happens. Local reports often come out before the big wires pick a story up.

Linked to tickers

Each event lists the stocks and commodities it may affect, tagged as a likely tailwind, a likely headwind, or mixed. Defense, energy, shipping, airlines, and crops are all covered.

Positive developments matter too

Follow infrastructure and facility openings, reopened routes and restored services, resource and scientific discoveries, and ceasefires, agreements, and investments. See where these developments happen and which stocks or commodities they may affect.

Feed it to your own tools

With Pro Business, connect Claude, ChatGPT, or your own scripts to the live feed through Feed MCP. Search incidents by type, severity, country, or ticker.

常見問題

How fast is the live feed?

Pro Business shows incidents as our system processes them and refreshes while the map is open. Speed depends on when outlets publish and how long processing takes, so it varies by event. The free preview shows the same incidents 36 hours later.

Does it track positive events too?

Yes. The tracker covers new infrastructure, facility, and industrial openings; reopened routes and restored services; resource and scientific discoveries; and ceasefires, agreements, and investments. You can choose positive, negative, or all events.

Does a positive event mean a linked stock will rise?

No. Positive describes the world event, such as a reopening or a new facility. A linked stock or commodity can still have a likely tailwind, a likely headwind, or a mixed effect. The labels describe possible relationships, not price predictions.

How are events linked to stocks?

Each event is matched to the companies and commodities with exposure to that place and event type. That includes disruptive events such as refinery fires and positive developments such as new facilities, restored services, or resource discoveries. Each link is tagged as a likely tailwind, a likely headwind, or a mixed effect.

Do tagged stocks always move the way the tag says?

No. A tag shows what an event may affect, not what the price will do. Other news, earnings, and the wider market also move prices. The Kyiv example on this page shows a case where the tagged names fell.

Is this financial advice?

No. Situation & Market Intel is for research and awareness only. It is not investment, trading, or financial advice. Coverage is automated, so incidents can be missed, late, or placed wrong. Check other sources before you trade.

What does Pro Business cost?

Eligible first-time subscribers can start with a free 7-day Pro Business trial, then $100 a month. It includes the live incident feed, longer time windows, Feed MCP, and every other Pro Business feature in Scribble Maps.

Can I try it before I pay?

Yes. Start a free 7-day Pro Business trial to try the live feed on your first subscription. Checkout confirms your eligibility. You can also open the free preview with no sign-up to explore the map, ticker, and incident cards, delayed by 36 hours.

Which markets does it cover?

The ticker covers US and European listed companies plus commodity groups such as crude oil, refined fuels, grains, fertilizer, metals, and shipping. Events come from every region with news coverage, so disruptions and positive developments abroad can show up next to US-listed names.

Can I connect it to my own tools or an AI assistant?

Yes. With Pro Business, Feed MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or your own tools to the live feed. You can search and filter incidents and check for new ones. Each account has one connection, and polling is limited per account.
