The Future of LRT in Edmonton
The Future of the Edmonton LRT in my plan. The existing Capital Line will be extended south to Allard and northeast to Evergreen. The existing metro line will be extended northwest to St. Albert and south to Summerside. Phase 1 of the Valley Line is currently under construction, but in the future will extend west to Rosenthal and southeast to Mattson. A new, proposed line, called the Energy Line, will travel from Sherwood Park in the east to Garrison in the north. The total length of the new system will be 136 km. The longest line will be the Metro Line at 37.2 km, followed by the Valley Line at 35.9 km, the Capital Line at 32.1 km, and then the Energy Line at 30.9 km.
