Persian and Assyrian Empire

How much bigger was the Persian Empire than the Assyrian Empire? I think that Persian Empire is five times bigger because the Assyrian Empire only covers the Fertile Crescent, but the Persian Empire goes from the Mediterranean Sea to part of Asia.
