Hernan Cortes

Hernan Cortes and his army of 500 men left Santiago de Cuba in 1518 and arrived on the Southeast coast of Mexico, Veracruz, in 1519. From Veracruz, he trekked to Tenochtitlan, the Aztec Capital where he eventually ended the Aztec Empire.
