In the city of Da Nang, on March 29th 2013, the Cau Rong Dragon Bridge was unveiled. This steel bridge is accompanied with a 420 ft. long dragon. This engineering masterpiece represents the Ly Dragon; a symbol of good fortune to the people of Da Nang. The dragon is lit up with 2,500 LED lights. On special occasions, the amazing bridge is able to shoot water or fire! The U.S. Louis Berger Group designed the bridge, and the construction started back in 2009. The Dragon Bridge cost 1.7 trillion Vietnamese dong which is equal to 86.1 million U.S. dollars. The bridge is in celebration of Da Nang’s 38th anniversary of liberation.
